Meta Muhendislik is an Istanbul-based engineering company specialized in water and wastewater treatment systems. With over 24 years of experience, the company provides sustainable and engineered solutions that contribute to the preservation of natural resources by developing systems tailored for buildings and industrial facilities. Meta delivers comprehensive services including system design, equipment supply, installation, commissioning, after-sales support, and turnkey project execution for a wide range of water and wastewater treatment needs.
The Meta technical service team provides global support, handling installation, supervision, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of treatment systems supplied worldwide. With water treatment systems installed in over 1,000 facilities across Türkiye, Meta also offers after sales services including scheduled maintenance, repair, spare parts, and consumables. Driven by the vision of “a cleaner world,” Meta actively serves clients in more than 20 countries.

Our Story
Meta Muhendislik was founded on March 3, 2001, in Şişli, Istanbul by Chemical Engineer Melek Yıldız and Mechanical Engineer Harun Yıldız. The company’s journey began with the suppliyng water filters, water softeners, and dosing pumps produced by its Italian partner Gel S.p.A., primarily to the construction sector. In its early years, Meta focused exclusively on delivering Gel S.p.A.'s solutions to residential and commercial buildings.
One year after its establishment, the technical service team was built with the addition Ali Tanyeli, Melek Yildiz’s brother. In a short period of time, Gel became one of the most recognized water treatment equipment brands in the Turkey.
As market demand increased, Meta expanded its portfolio to include industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. The engineering team grew, and in-house manufacturing began. By the early 2010s, Meta had significantly reduced its dependency on imports and transformed into a company that designs and manufactures its own systems. Between 2010 and 2018, it gained substantial experience in large-scale industrial projects, becoming a preferred engineering partner for multinational clients in technology-driven water treatment applications.
Today, Meta Muhendislik delivers turnkey solutions worldwide — from large-capacity process water systems for factories to wastewater treatment, greywater reuse, and seawater desalination systems. The company handles the full project cycle, including design, production, installation, and operation.
Over the past 24 years, Meta has successfully delivered systems in Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Oman, Libya, Egypt, Algeria, Tanzania, Sudan, Georgia, Nigeria, Mali, Uganda, Mexico, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, the Netherlands, and Romania.
Meta’s long-standing partnership with Gel S.p.A. continues in the field of building water technologies. In 2020, a distributorship agreement was completed with 3P Technik, a leading German manufacturer of rainwater filtration systems, accelerating Meta’s initiatives in rainwater harvesting. Meta launched Turkey’s first online rainwater harvesting store in 2024, further expanding its presence in sustainable water solutions.
